ThingsUWant had a chance to go the the Eurogamer Expo and play around with some games such as Assassins Creed Brothehood, Enslaved, Need For Speed Hot Pursuit and much more, however what we want to talk about is the Rage Game Developer Session. We got an explosive preview of Rage at the Expo. Time Willets ( Creative Director) And Jason Kim came to demonstrate to us. As you may know id Software are the wonderful creators of Wolfenstien which was basically the start of FPS’s, so what do they have in store for us now? well they have decided to make a new ip which includes Vehicle Combat, First Person Shooting and also has an RPG element to it.

While starting the game they mention that “Every new area you go to will have a unique style and unique feel”  because of there it tech 5 engine

Rage will run at 60 hz on all platforms.

The story of rage is that an

asteroid destoys most of civilization and some of civilization was put into pods underneath the earth so that after the collision the people in the pods would comeback and restore civilization however as we all know plans don’t always work out and some of these pods malfunctioned and now there are mutants and bandits etc

There were some cool things we saw which was town of wellspring where you will be  receiving most of your missions here and also a blade boomerang that can behead enemies and come back to your hand, as we mentioned there are viechles and something we saw was the Caprino Car which included weapons such as Rockets and Machine Guns. We also got a look at a weapon called Electro Bolts and also an RC car with bombs strapped to it whcih resembled Black Ops.

There are some sentry bots in the game, a normal one that will shoot at enemies and also a spider sentry bot that will move around and kill enemies.  We saw a mission where you got sent to the Dead City whcih is inhabited by mutants and whoever goes there never comes back, so whats going to happen? you’re going to get sent there, as soon as you get there mutanst start to attack you and we even got to see one with a mech suit.

Another big topic for Rage is mutiplayer, there will be multiplayer in Rage but they weren’t ready to revieal any details, however they did say that they want to make it truly unique and different.

you will always have a vehicle.

Rage will be on 2 dvds for xbox 360

PS3 only 1 disc

no morality system in rage

there will be dlc for the game
